Assignments: How to Insert a Hyperlink or Attachment into an Assignment

1. Access the assignment to which you wish to add an attachment or hyperlink.
2. Click Edit settings in the Administration block.
3. Type the label for your hyperlink or attachment.
4. Highlight the text.
5. Click the Link button in the editor.

6. To add a link:

a. Enter the URL into the Enter a URL box.

b. Select the Open in new window checkbox.

c. Click the Create link button.

7. To add an attachment:

a. Click the Manage files icon.

b. Select Add in the top-left corner.

c. The file picker will appear; select Browse, and select the file you wish to attach.

d. Enter the name under which you would like to save the file; for example, “Chapter 2 reading material.”

e. Change the Author field to read TLH.

f. Click Upload this file.

g. Select Open in new window in the Target drop-down menu.

h. Click the Insert button.

8. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select either Save… option.
